Grit is SUCH a great workout! I was super intimidated trying this out bc it looked intense and I’m fit-adjacent. But everyone was incredibly welcoming and encouraging.
The workout switches between treadmills, weights, and boxing. There’s screens showing you the combos in case you get stuck. And I appreciate the club/low lighting to hide how sweaty I get.
I particularly like Evan’s classes. All the trainers are great but he really utilizes the incline on the treadmills & has interesting weight room/boxing combinations for muscle confusion.
The social aspect is nice as well! Whether you stay for drinks or not, they really try to create an atmosphere for people to meet & hype each other up.
I started with the intro deal for two glasses, two drinks, and the Grit bag (which has quickly become my everyday bag). Neil at the front desk was really kind & patient figuring out a class package that worked best for me. I love going & it’s really boosted my confidence ☺️💪🏻
I’ve been wanting to try this workout class for a while now and I’m so glad I finally did recently. My friend and I bought the special $39 package which is SUCH a great deal and so worth it.
We both really enjoyed the class! It feels like you’re in a club and the class goes by so quickly! I use to box a lot and haven’t in years until I took this class and I really enjoyed it! I love that they have a visual of what moves you’re doing in the boxing rounds and the floor rounds so if you forget what the instructor said you can look at the screens at the front.
If you want a good and fun workout, this is definitely worth trying!
I always needed motivation when I went to the gym, sometimes I'd come home and feel like I hadn't worked hard enough. I tried this boxing gym because a friend told me it was great fun! I went in and never felt so sore after a workout - it was so much fun that I didn't realize I'd worked so hard! What's more, the staff are really nice. Which made me want to drink at the bar with them! The cocktails were amazing thanks to Victor !!! 🥊
Such a great workout every time. David is my fav trainer for sure, the workout is always different and exciting.
The membership is pricey but worth it especially when you burn like 600 cals in a session.
GRIT workouts are so much fun! I feel exhausted after and it’s ALWAYS a party. Vic the bartender is the best in the city.
A fun and challenging workout but accessible for boxing beginners. and there's nothing like knowing a margarita is waiting for you after class. Shoutout to Vic on the bar who always brings the party vibes!
Fun and upbeat! High intensity but at the same time not a place where the instructors scream at/degrade you in the name of motivation. Fun activities after and a full bar if you want to hang out once you’re done with class. Clean and all equipment is in good condition.
My go to place for HIIT workout because it is like a combination of Barry’s and Rumble.
You can start with either Tread, Floor, or Bag (meaning treadmill, weights, or boxing, respectively). There are 9 rounds: you have 2 rounds per station for 3.5 mins then you have the lightning rounds for 3 mins to finish.
There are multiple instructors and each has a different style. I like to go by the time (early morning at 7 am) and it is usually not so packed in the morning.
It is now a member’s only club so look for their welcoming deals or ask a friend to bring you to try out first if you are interested.
Intensity wise, it is adjustable based on your own level but I think generally it is a bit easier than Barry’s and similar to Rumble. Don’t be fooled by the bar as think it is a drinking place. I don’t drink so I skip the bar and maximize my workouts there. It is all up to your personal choices what you wish to achieve there.
